The beauty industry is buzzing about bees as the new secret to skin care. The benefits of honey and beeswax have been making headlines for their healing benefits, but there’s a new ingredient in town armed with an edge: bee venom. It has even been reported that Royals such as The Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Cornwall are using bee venom creams to stay young.
 
Ellie Lobel, founder and CEO of Beevinity, Scottsdale AZ, spent more than 10 years developing a formula—now out in Beevinty, LLC beauty products—to fight the effects of aging.
 
 “While researching the many benefits of bee venom, I discovered that bee venom has healing effects and really helped me with uneven skin pigmentation and scarring issues,” she told Happi in an interview. “After having suffered from Lyme disease, most of products on the market gave me adverse side effects. I discovered this natural alternative, for others who have sensitive skin…I wanted to bring a product to the market here in the states that was a natural way of healing the skin. To be able to create products that allow us to age with grace without needles or frozen faces seemed like a win-win situation.”
 
Bee venom treats the skin as though it has been lightly stung, bringing blood to the surface cells while hydrating the skin, creating natural collagen and elastin thus firming and tightening the skin naturally, noted Lobel. The increased circulation turns the cells over more rapidly, revealing a youthful healthy radiant skin.
 
BeeVinity Bee Venom Face Cream is synergistically formulated with all plant-derived materials, raw natural organic shea butter and raw grapefruit citrus honey straight from a beekeeper in Southern California. But there’s more to Lobel than skin care. Armed with the American equivalent of a Ph.D in Nuclear Physics at 18 years of age from a gifted program at University College Kensington, England, Lobel also has extensive experience in engineering and worked for a California company and developed the first computer diagnostic tools. And after battling Lyme’s disease, she claims to have also found a possible cure and is supporting research for proper clinical trials.
